Stellaris — Terms of Use

Last updated: September 29, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Stellaris mobile application (“Stellaris”, the “App”), operated by Caerus Digital, LLC (“Caerus Digital”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, or using Stellaris, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

Stellaris is intended for use by professional pilots with valid CCS+ and PBS access. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to access the CCS+ crew-management system to use Stellaris.

2. Description of Service

Stellaris is an unofficial assistive tool for pilots who use CCS+ and PBS. Stellaris is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any airline, pilot union, or third-party system referenced in the App. Stellaris helps you view your schedule, build PBS bid groups, sync your trips to your personal calendar, ask questions about your pilot contract through ContractAI, and manage related crew information. Stellaris does not replace official CCS+ or PBS systems. You are solely responsible for verifying any information shown in Stellaris against the authoritative crew-management systems before relying on it for any trip, bid, or duty decision.

3. Subscription Terms

Access to Stellaris requires an auto-renewable subscription billed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system at the price displayed in the App (currently 2.99 US Dollars per month). If you are eligible for Apple’s introductory offer, your first week is free; your Apple ID account is charged the monthly price when the free week ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your iOS device’s Settings under Apple ID, then Subscriptions. ContractAI questions are sold separately as one-time In-App Purchases at the price displayed in the App (currently 9.99 US Dollars for 50 questions); purchased questions do not expire. Caerus Digital cannot process refunds for App Store purchases. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly.

4. Your CCS+ Credentials

To function, Stellaris asks for your employee number and CCS+ password. These credentials are stored only in the Apple Keychain on your device. We do not transmit them to any Caerus Digital server, and we do not store them anywhere we can access. Stellaris uses these credentials solely to sign you in to CCS+ and PBS on your behalf, in the same way you would log in through the CCS+ web portal. While your credentials are stored, the App locks itself whenever you leave it. You remain bound by your employer’s terms of use and information-security policies. You are solely responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity performed under your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Stellaris to (a) automate trade-board requests, bid submissions, or any other interaction with CCS+ or PBS in a manner that violates your employer’s policy or applicable contracts, (b) scrape, redistribute, or resell data obtained through Stellaris, (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from Stellaris, (d) interfere with or disrupt Stellaris or the servers or networks it depends on, or (e) use Stellaris in any way that violates law, regulation, your collective bargaining agreement, or your employer’s policy.

6. No Affiliation

Stellaris is an independent product. References to CCS+, PBS, base codes, aircraft fleet designators, and similar industry terms are used only to describe the tools Stellaris helps you interact with. Caerus Digital does not represent any airline or pilot union and cannot speak for or against their positions, rules, or policies. Any disputes regarding flying, pay, scheduling, or crew rules must be resolved through your employer and your union representatives, not through Stellaris.

7. Intellectual Property

Stellaris, its source code, design, branding, and content are owned by Caerus Digital and protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Stellaris for your own personal pilot operations for the duration of your active subscription.

8. Disclaimers

STELLARIS IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. CAERUS DIGITAL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT STELLARIS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DATA SHOWN IN STELLARIS IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. STELLARIS IS NOT FLIGHT-CRITICAL SOFTWARE AND MUST NOT BE USED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR OFFICIAL CREW-MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, FEDERAL AVIATION REGULATIONS, COMPANY OPERATIONS MANUALS, OR PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAERUS DIGITAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST PAY, LOST FLYING, MISSED TRIPS, MISSED BIDS, DISCIPLINARY ACTION, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF STELLARIS, EVEN IF CAERUS DIGITAL HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL CAERUS DIGITAL’S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR STELLARIS SUBSCRIPTION IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Caerus Digital and its officers, members, and employees from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of Stellaris, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights, including your employer’s or pilot union’s policies.

11. Termination

You may stop using Stellaris at any time by cancelling your subscription in Settings and uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue Stellaris. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Stellaris after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Stellaris will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@caerus.digital.

Apple-Required EULA Provisions

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Caerus Digital only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Apple is not responsible for Stellaris or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Stellaris. In the event of any failure of Stellaris to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of Stellaris to you, if applicable; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to Stellaris. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Stellaris or your possession or use of Stellaris, including product-liability claims, claims that Stellaris fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer-protection or similar legislation. In the event of any third-party claim that Stellaris or your use of Stellaris infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Caerus Digital, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Stellaris — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Caerus Digital, LLC (“Caerus Digital”, “we”, “us”, “our”) built Stellaris (“Stellaris”, the “App”) to help professional pilots manage their schedules, bids, and crew information. This Privacy Policy explains what data Stellaris handles, how it handles it, and the choices you have.

The short version: Stellaris keeps your data on your iPhone. Your CCS+ password stays in the Apple Keychain on your phone and is only ever sent to CCS+ to sign you in. A few features use servers Caerus Digital runs — ContractAI, layover weather and drive times, and notifications — and Section 3 lists exactly what each one receives. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or analytics.

1. Information Stellaris Handles

a. CCS+ Credentials. To function, Stellaris asks for your employee number and CCS+ password. These are stored only in the Apple Keychain on your device, protected by Apple’s hardware-backed encryption and your device passcode or biometrics. Stellaris uses these credentials solely to sign you in to CCS+ and PBS on your behalf. The credentials are never transmitted to any Caerus Digital server. We never see them, and we cannot recover them if you forget them.

b. Schedule, Bid, Trip, and Crew Data. When you sign in, Stellaris fetches your assignments, bid packages, and crew information from CCS+ and PBS and caches them on your device. This data stays on your iPhone, except for the specific pieces listed in Section 3 for the features that need them. If you choose to enable Calendar Sync, copies of your trips are written to the calendar service you connect (Apple Calendar or Google Calendar) under your control.

c. Birthday. If you enter a birthday on the Sick Call screen, it is used only on your device to count down to your age-65 retirement date and project your sick hours. It is not uploaded, shared, or tracked, except inside a sick-time bug report you choose to email us (Section 1e).

d. Subscription Status. Your Stellaris subscription is processed by Apple. Apple shares only the entitlement status (active or inactive) with the App. We do not receive your Apple ID, name, payment method, or billing address. Refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy for how Apple handles subscription data.

e. Bug Reports and Diagnostic Logs. In development and TestFlight builds, Stellaris may write debug logs to the device. These logs are not transmitted off the device and are stripped from public release builds. Stellaris offers several bug reports — your schedule, an error, your sick-time data, your bids, or your ContractAI questions and answers. Each one opens a new email in the Mail app, addressed to support@caerus.digital, with an encrypted file attached. The message lists your app version, iOS version, and device model. The sick-time report’s attachment includes your name, employee number, and birthday. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send in that email, and because it is an ordinary email, we receive it from your email address. We delete these report emails 60 days after we receive them.

f. Help Tune AutoBid. If you choose to send it from the Bidding screen, Help Tune AutoBid sends one anonymous snapshot of your bidding: your seniority, base, fleet, and seat; your AutoBid preferences and generated bid groups; your bid groups and trip pools on PBS; and the bid package and your award once it posts. It never includes your name or employee number. The snapshot is encrypted on your phone and goes out as an email to support@caerus.digital from the Mail app, only when you tap Send; as with any email, we receive it from your email address. We delete it 60 days after we receive it.

g. ContractAI. Account: to buy questions you sign in with Apple. Apple shares the name and email address you choose to share (Apple lets you hide your email), and Google’s Firebase Authentication holds them for our sign-in. Our own database keeps only an anonymous account number, your question balance, and your purchase records, so you get the questions you paid for. Questions: your question, the earlier questions and answers in the same conversation, and, if Answer with my schedule is on, a snapshot of your schedule details (no name or employee number) go to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write your answer. We don’t keep them. A short record that a question was answered (no text) is deleted within a day. Answer with my schedule is on unless you turn it off, in the ContractAI purchase screen or on the General screen in Settings; turn it off and nothing about your schedule is sent. Your question history is kept on your iPhone. Ratings and feedback: if you rate an answer (thumbs up or thumbs down), we receive the question, our answer, your rating, and any comment you add, with names and employee numbers removed and not tied to your account. Tapping the rating again changes or removes it. If you tap Feedback, the App shows you what it will send (your comment), and nothing is sent until you tap Send. We use ratings and feedback to improve answers and delete them within 30 days. If a feedback item becomes a test question, it’s rewritten so it can’t be traced to anyone.

2. Information Stellaris Does Not Collect

We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs. Stellaris does not track you across other apps or websites. Apart from what Sections 1 and 3 describe (Sign in with Apple for ContractAI, the places sent to work out drive times, notification push tokens, and email you choose to send us), Stellaris does not collect your name, email address, phone number, device identifiers for tracking, location, contacts, photos, microphone input, or any other personal information.

3. Servers and Services Stellaris Connects To

Servers Caerus Digital runs. These features send the following to servers we operate, over encrypted connections:

a. ContractAI. Your question, the earlier exchanges in the same conversation, and (if Answer with my schedule is on) your schedule snapshot, passed to Anthropic to write the answer and not kept; feedback you choose to send; and the account details in Section 1g. See Section 1g for what is kept and for how long.

b. Layover weather, air quality, and drive times. The map coordinates of your layover airport, hotel, or city, sent to our proxy, which passes them to Google to get the forecast, current conditions, air quality, and van and downtown drive times. For drive times, including Leave home, the App asks Apple Maps first. When Apple Maps has no route, the exact coordinates of the start and end of the drive — for Leave home, your saved home, parking, or drop-off spot and your destination; a saved place may have been set from your phone’s location when you saved it — go to our route server, which passes them to Google to get the drive time. No name, employee number, or schedule details are sent.

c. Notifications. If you allow notifications, your device’s push token is registered with our server so we can send app notices and tell you when your bid package is posted; the bid-package alert also stores your base and fleet. When a Dynamic Island countdown is running, the countdown labels and times (for example, a report or van pickup time) are registered with the same push token so the countdown can update while the App is closed. Signing out stops the bid-package alerts for that device.

d. Published reference data. The App downloads app notices, the monthly published bidding numbers, and bid-package posting times from our servers. These downloads carry no personal information.

Third-party services. When you use certain features, Stellaris communicates directly with the following services on your behalf:

e. CCS+ and PBS infrastructure. Required for the App to function. Your credentials and schedule are handled per the crew-management system’s own information-security policies, which you remain subject to as an authorized user.

f. Apple (StoreKit, Sign in with Apple, EventKit, Maps, Mail, Push Notifications). For subscription billing and ContractAI purchases, Apple Calendar sync, maps and drive times, bug-report emails, and notifications.

g. Google Firebase Authentication (only if you sign in for ContractAI). Turns your Sign in with Apple sign-in into the anonymous account number described in Section 1g, and holds the name and email address Apple shares.

h. Google Calendar (only if you connect it). Trip events are written to a calendar in your Google account using a scope that only allows Stellaris to manage its own calendar. You can disconnect at any time, which removes the calendar and revokes Stellaris’s access.

i. Public lookups. For the layover screen, the App fetches currency exchange rates (open.er-api.com), a short description of the layover city (Wikipedia), and past weather for the layover location (Open-Meteo). These requests carry only a city name or map coordinates — no personal information.

We do not control how the crew-management system operator, Apple, Google, Anthropic, or the public lookup services handle data on their own systems. Review their respective privacy policies for details.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your schedule, bid groups, crew contacts, ContractAI history, and settings live on your device. Uninstalling Stellaris deletes them. Signing out from within the App deletes your credentials from the Keychain and clears cached data. If you have connected Calendar Sync, the calendar entries written to Apple Calendar or Google Calendar are managed by you in those apps; disconnecting Calendar Sync from Stellaris removes the calendar Stellaris created.

On our side, we keep your anonymous ContractAI account number, question balance, and purchase records; a record that a question was answered (no text) for up to a day; feedback you send for up to 30 days; push-notification registrations until you turn notifications off or sign out, bug-report emails for 60 days, and any other email you send us. To have any of it deleted, write to support@caerus.digital.

5. Security

Stellaris stores your credentials in the Apple Keychain on this iPhone only: they are encrypted, never synced through iCloud Keychain, and never restored to a different device. So that your schedule can keep syncing in the background while your phone is locked, the App can read them once you have unlocked your phone at least once since it was last restarted. The App itself locks whenever your credentials are stored. Network requests to CCS+, our servers, Apple, and Google use encrypted connections (TLS). No security system is perfect; while we follow industry best practices, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children

Stellaris is intended for adult professional pilots. Stellaris is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your Rights

Most of your information never leaves your device, so the practical way to access, correct, or delete it is on your device. You can review and change your stored credentials, calendar connections, and other settings in the Settings tab, turn off Answer with my schedule, and delete everything on the phone by signing out and uninstalling the App. For anything we hold (Section 4), or anything you believe we received through a bug report or other channel, contact us at support@caerus.digital and we will delete it within 30 days.

If you are located in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as the GDPR in the European Economic Area or the CCPA in California), those rights apply to whatever limited personal data we may hold about you.

8. International Users

Caerus Digital is based in the United States. If you use Stellaris from outside the United States, you understand that the data described in Sections 1 and 3 that reaches us will be processed in the United States.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Stellaris after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

10. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy or your data can be sent to support@caerus.digital.
